Meeting once a week on MS Teams
Wednesday 10:30-11:25(weekday meeting) with optional meeting Mondays and
Wednesday 20:00-21:55(evening work)
The workday one have a “hotseat structure” and the evening ones a work on your
thing alone yet together style (pomodoro?)
<recurring webconf links>
Talk about work. We’ll talk about
work using the bulletin board tool Discourse. Here we try to
replace emails, store meeting notes and such for searchability and drop
eventual links and other thinks that might benefit each other
<insert bulletin board link>
You will find store document and
notes about work using OneDrive/Sharepoint
<insert documents link>
The structure for this meeting is
a short round robin* and a hotseat*
This meeting start on time, eventual late joiners will just sneak in.
All attendees should have a the whiteboard or “shared note” up so we call can
edit the same doc on the topic of the meeting
Its totally OK* if you’re not
able to make this meeting. We could opt to save the audio/video and have people
feedback async if we want to?
* Round robin 10:30-10:15
Every meeting starts with a “round robin” where every member share a few quick
sentences on a pre-set topic
Ric will set these in the agenda <link to agenda> for each call so you’ll
have time to ponder on it.
·
Win of the Week – and accomplishment you are proud
of that you might not feel is “socially acceptable” to brag about in other
places.
This is the place and time to get recognition for your effort by people who
know what it means to you
·
Grateful for this week – something you appreciate, a someone, something
or an inner game you realize how much it mean to you.
Sometimes giving a name to something small, silly or weird unlucks us, frees us
and lets us feel seen
·
Failure of the week – Something you intended to do, with an outcome that
mattered to you but that didn’t work independent of why.
Learn over time to see the benefit of doing things that might not work, and
that you have survived that nervous outside comfort zone feeling before and
will gain. This is not a place to hide and share something big that doesn’t
matter. Share something small or big that you really hoped for another outcome
and be recognized for that your dare try, independent of outcome.
* Hotseat 10:15-10:45. One member will bring one or two questions to the group.
They might be anything but should have been given thoughts by the individual
before the meeting.
it’s totally OK to switch to something else during the hotseat if the
individual decides that’s a more important topic.
I don’t see the path forward, I feel stuck. I’m doing this launch and want to hear your thoughts.
I’m doing this lifechange and would like to juggle. Anything the hotseat is important is important.
Peer-groups does its best to stay unbiased, unjudgmental and try to share what they hear, observe and what eventual previous experience they might have on helping the hotseat.
Ric will also update who is in the hotseat and do the rotation dance update of <link to document>
Ric will update the bulletin board with the notes and MS Teams chatlog so that future you will find it faster.
Might also do a weekly reminder
of the Win/Grateful for/failure round robin next meeting <link to bulletin
board>
[we might squeeze in an accountability “I will do until next week” round robin
here?]
Parked questions:
10:45-10:50
Admin note, next hotseat named, notes on
vacations etcs 10:50-10:55
Pomodoro style work in silence with webcam on? Note
that these are not expected to be joined regularly, only whenever it might be
convenient. (flagged via discourse)
Ric will rarely join
before 21:00
Ric prepares the “dated meeting note” and have a link up before the call
Ric prepares the “Before” statement on whats to bring into the meeting
Ric archives the note in the Bulletin Board so its searchable
Its totally OK to miss meeting yet
the group decides if there is a pattern of skipped meetings.
We’re not setting a threshold limit, you can participate via recorded feedback
etc – yet we set a bar to protect the commitment of the group.
This is not a free opt-in when convenient place, that is disruptive for the committed members.
We will fully embrace life happenings, vacations and such.
Creating a peer-group that helps its members get further,
faster by poking holes in illusions or standing still for too long while
helping each other to see what matters to each individual and the steps to help
them get there by getting more done of what matters, and let go of what
doesn't.
Your life is determined by your ability to explore smart questions more than
anything. A Peer group helps you do that better.
Consultants who want to create something that matter beyond
trading their time for value for their customer.
Members should join the table with a project or goal in their heart.
Rest is important yet this group is for action-takers and people willing to do
the emotional labor required to levelup.
This group is also for those seeking to be generous while levelling up.
This is not for those who seek a quick-fix, a short
term join to learn a few hacks or to lean on other peoples
relationships.
Commitment to creating your own thing, beyond trading time
for money.
Peer-group levelup. Potential for relationships for
life
This is a an experimental ground
for the group. We will evaluate miro.com, MS Yammer and other tools, processes,
and methods along the way.
